The Story Behind the Songs

Seven years ago, I woke up at 3 AM and with no formal training in music, wrote 15 soft rock songs in an hour.

I was writing a play at the time so I had a tape recorder by my bed. I grabbed it, sang the melodies and wrote down all the lyrics really fast. Music poured out of me like a river, like a torrent of light. I thought, wow, that was really…weird. And that was the most fun I’ve ever had as an artist.
